Blackheads are a skin condition in which the pores of the skin become blocked by oxidized melanin. Melanin is the pigment made by skin cells called melanocytes. The reasons for the development of blackheads and the best strategies against them is in how one cares for their skin.
Taking care of your skin can never be underestimated. It is vitally importance. The skin is the body’s largest organ and is the first line of defence against infection and disease.
The mixture of lemon and honey make an easy and a natural way to remove Blackheads.
Lemon is a natural bleaching agent. The acidic property in lemons acts as a natural bleaching agent for the skin. As a natural bleaching agent it removes all the dark spots you have on your skin.
Lemon also contains lots of vitamin C, which plays an important role in producing the collagen fibres that help support your skin and keep it firm. Vitamin C has been known to slow down hyperactive melanocytes, the melanin producing cells found in the basal layers of the skin which causes the skin to “tan” or become darker.
Honey is an antiseptic and has many medicinal properties. It has antimicrobial property as well as wound-healing active elements. Furthermore honey works as a natural moisturiser for the skin. The sugars in honey act as natural humectants and emollient that increase the water content and reduce dryness in the skin even after they have been washed off.
